International Programs

¨  Identification of three orphanages where children with special needs are available for international adoption

¨  Provide the orphanages with information and education on how to care for children with  special needs

¨  Provide the identified special needs children with a complete needs assessment, based on Doctors diagnosis and/or impressions

¨  Help children with monetary support to facilitate upcoming adoption

¨  Provide orphanage with monetary and staff support to facilitate treatment of these children

¨  Develop and coordinate services at orphanages to better service these children's needs

H2A currently has active programs in two foreign countries:  Brazil, China and Thailand.  The following services will be provided in these programs:

 

Brazil Program  

The Brazil program is directed by Amy Tavares, LCSW. 

 

The following services are provided in this program:

· Link identified clients with lists of community resources and services based on the child's disability

· Assessment of client's needs and Support Plan Development - Administration of needs assessment with client and legal guardian

· Provides clients and parents with support groups

· Provide clients and parents with community activities focused on the integration of client and family or organization into typical peer environments

· Provide client and family with financial support or links to available financial support for special needs services

China Program  

The China program is directed by Rebecca Reinhart. 

 

The following services are provided in this program:

Thailand/Burma Program  

The Thailand/Burma program is directed by Dr. Samantha Tavares 

 

The Thailand/Burma program was developed in partnership with the Grassroots Human Right, Education & Development (GHRED) organization located in Phang Nga Province of Thailand, bordering Burma.  The program provides financial support for special needs services to orphan Burmese children that lost the parents in the 2007 Tsunami that devastated the region. 

 

The following services are provided in this program:

 

· Provide clients with community activities focused on the integration of client and organization into typical peer environments

· Provide client with financial support or links to available financial support for special needs services
